This summer, CHS is launching Closets to Community, a clothing drive supporting participants in our shelter programs and the residents of Wood Street Commons. 

Clothing is one of the most consistently needed items across our programs, yet it is often overlooked during the warmer months. Access to clean, comfortable, and seasonally appropriate clothing can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day-to-day life, whether they are attending appointments, searching for employment, rebuilding stability, or simply wanting to feel confident and cared for. 

Donations collected through Closets to Community will help provide essential clothing items directly to participants and residents, ensuring community members have access to resources that support both dignity and everyday needs.
